از کمرويي محبوس و زنداني مي کنند و شخصيت واقعي و قابليت هاي ارزشمند ايشان در پس توده اي از ابرهاي تيره ي کمرويي، ناشناخته مي ماند.چه بسيار دانش آموزان و دانشجويان هوشمند و خلاقي که در مدارس و دانشگاه ها فقط به دليل کمرويي و معلوليت اجتماعي، همواره از نظر پيشرفت تحصيلي و قدرت خلاقيت و نوآوري نمره ي کمتري از همسالان عادي خود عايدشان مي شود؛ چرا که کمرويي يک مانع جدي براي رشد قابليت ها و خلاقيت هاي فردي است.پديده ي کمرويي در بين بزرگسالان و افراد مسن بسيار پيچيده تر است و چنين پيچيدگي رواني ممکن است در اغلب موارد، نيازهاي دروني، تمايلات، انگيزه ها، قابليت ها، فرصت ها، هدف ها و برنامه هاي شغلي، حرفه اي و اجتماعي ايشان را به طور جدي متأثر و دگرگون کند.پرداختن به پديده ي کمرويي و بررسي مباني روان شناختي آن از اين رو حائز اهميت است که تقريباً همه ي ما به گونه اي تجاربي از کمرويي را در موقعيت هاي مختلف داشته ايم. نوجواني دوره اي است که در آن دانش آموز بيش از هر زمان ديگر نياز به راهنمايي و مشاوره دارد. نوجوان ضمن مشورت با اوليا و مربيان، دست کم بايد بداند که چگونه خود را بهتر بشناسد و از
